Why this site exists

Pickleball in the Philippines grew faster than the information about it. Courts appeared in places nobody had listed. Coaches taught out of group chats. Clubs organised on social media posts that scrolled away within a week.

If you were already in the community you knew where to play. If you were not, you were guessing.

PickleJoy is the answer to a simple question: where can I play, and who can teach me? One place, free to read, no account required.

What we publish

• Courts — where to play, what it costs, and what the surface is actually like.
• Coaches — who teaches, where, and at what level.
• Clubs — the groups worth joining.
• Tournaments — what is coming up and when registration closes.
• The Academy — guides for people who have never held a paddle.
• The blog — gear advice and stories from the community.

How we keep it honest

A directory is only worth reading if it tells the truth, so a few rules govern this one:

• Tournament status is worked out from the dates, never typed in by hand. An event cannot advertise “registration open” after its deadline has passed, because nobody has the option to say so.
• Filters only offer places that have something behind them. The location dropdown is built from the listings themselves, so it can never suggest a city with nothing in it.
• Past tournaments keep their pages and say plainly that they are over, rather than quietly disappearing.
• Every photograph is a real photograph of what it claims to show, described in its alt text.

We are a small operation and we will get things wrong. When we do, we would rather hear about it.

Getting listed

Run a court, coach, or organise a club or tournament? We would like to include you, and it costs nothing.

Email hello@picklejoy.ph with where you are and what you offer. Self-service listing is being built; until it lands, a person reads every one of these.

Corrections

Something out of date, a rate that has changed, a court that has closed — tell us at hello@picklejoy.ph and it gets fixed.
